Actually it's a penetration aid .Monkeys and apes in general have one.The female of most species of ape will fight the male when they exude the smell of coming into 'heat' .The female has a small flap over their genetilia to avoid male penetration ,the penile spine stiffens the penis and pushes this flap aside .......aren't you glad that you now know all of this needless crap ?
