Whats better?

I want to buy a 50 inch TV but I dont know if I want a Plasma or LCD, what kind is better? and what level of Hz (i.e 600hz) is best?

anything over 40inches you want plasma, LCD are getting better, but Plasma is still better over 40 inches.

I haven't noticed that they are blurry but TV doesn't occupy a really big part of my life. The TV I actually use is just some old French Canadian junker that I bought off Craigslist when my old TV died a few years ago. (Good thing I was forced to endure French since the previous owner had ripped out most of the English text in the owner's manual.)

Someday I would like a flatscreen TV because they are less noticeable. I have to say that being able to see the pores on an actor's face isn't as thrilling as I originally thought it might be.
