Curious if any of the resident Michiganders would be interested in helping to preserve a peice of Great Lakes history.
The National Landmark S.S. City of Milwaukee is holding a silent auction in July to help raise funds for further renovations and operations. She is the last of the many rail car ferries that used to sail the lakes. She's currently permanently docked in Manistee alongside the retired USCGC Acacia.
They are looking for donations for the auction, or anyone who would just like to attend. Any donations would be able to be written off on your taxes, and proper documentation will be given for it.
The website is here, or you can PM me, or drop a note in here if you would like any more information.
