No, I want him to demonstrate leadership. Part of that is showing the people that you lead that you are engaged and doing the job. Otherwise, you will have a great deal of difficulty getting people to do what you need them to. This is what Obama doesn't get, and never will, because he has never led anything or anyone.
Leadership is emotional as well as rational. You, of all people, should know and understand that. People have to feel that their leaders are committed to the mission and want the organization to succeed, that they place the organization before their own interests, and have the knowledge and skills to accomplish the mission. Clinton's problem was that he got the first part, the emotional connection, but never understood that you had to back it up with actions. Obama gets none of it. Carter understood this, but sucked at it. JFK got it, as did LBJ and Truman, regardless of what you thought of their policies, they made it a point to try to connect to the people of the United States. Obama doesn't connect to people, and doesn't seem to care to. He conspicuously ignores his duties and then makes belated and awkward gestures that end up exacerbating his failures. He lacks both substance and style.
