A person was shot Friday at a middle school in south-central Indiana and a suspect is in custody, state police said (Martinsville Reporter Times).
DEVELOPING: A person was shot Friday at a middle school in south-central Indiana and a suspect is in custody, state police said.
Sgt. Kirk Durnil says the victim was shot twice in the stomach Friday morning outside the cafeteria at West Middle School in Martinsville.
The shooter, a 15-year-old boy, is a recently expelled student, according to local press reports. The brother of the suspect was also reportedly detained.
The unidentified victim, whose condition is unknown, was transported to Methodist Hospital, Fox59.com reports.
