We are planning a birthday party for my granddaughter tomorrow. She will be 3. We are finally going in the pool and had to get the slide ready because she said "I NEED to do that".
Made fried eggs and sausage biscuits for dinner and am sooooooo sleepy. I was waiting for Saturday Night Live to come on and realized it was Friday.

The 13 Best Horror Stories of All Time,
(Edgar Allan Poe, J. Sheridan Le Fanu, Bram Stoker) to the first half of the 20th (M.R. James, H.P. Lovecraft, Shirley Jackson).
For those new to horror literature wanting to sample some of the classic shorter works of the genre, this is an excellent starting point.
The Tell-Tale Heart,Green Tea, The Yellow Wallpaper , The Bottle Imp ,The Great God Pan , Dracula's Guest , The Monkey's Paw, Oh, Whistle and I'll Come to You, My Lad ,The Country of the Blind ,The Willows ,The Beckoning Fair One ,The Call of Cthulhu, The Lottery ,but No Carmella !
About J Sheridan Le Fanu,
Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu has been the inspiration and motive force behind a great deal of modern horror literature; his tales of horror inspired Bram Stoker to write Dracula; it was the custom, according to Henry James, for Victorian hosts to place a volume of his stories on a guest's bedside table for 'the hours after midnight'; and M R James, the famous ghost story teller, considered him 'absolutely in the front rank' as a supernatural writer. Yet in modern times Le Fanu has been unaccountably ignored.
I am re-reading Crust & crumb and The Bread Baker's Apprentice ,Hannibal Rising,Nature girl is next and followed by When the Almond Tree Blossoms !
And I need new glasses !!
