There are some people with a medical condition that makes it hard for them to control their weight, but there are many more who are just lazy shits that had rather sit on their fat asses than get up and go to work. Trust me, dude, I see it all the time.

People who drink liquor and who smoke cigarettes generate their afflictions as well. But you don't normally hear people mocking folks with lung cancer or liver failure. When someone is on dialysis, I never hear anyone speculating on what that person did to damage his kidneys.

BTW, I damaged my kidneys through intense exercise and dehydration. I'm not on dialysis, but only because I am in a pushy HMO and had regular blood work. Fortunately, I appear to have no ill effects.

Are you nuts? Somebody could have quit smoking 30 years ago and unless they die from tiger bites, the first thing someone will say is "Well, he was smoker back in the day, you know". It's the same thing for drinkers. You hear it all the time.
