    Wow, that's quite a view! Where is that, Philly?
    When the delegates emerged from the Constitutional Convention in 1787, a Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, “Well, Doctor, what have we got?” Franklin replied, “A republic, madam, if you can keep it.”

    Lehigh Gap, on the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania. The climb out of the Gap is one of the toughest parts of the AT, until you get to Maine.

    You're welcome. Parts of the trail are actually part of a Superfund Site. The area was horribly destroyed from some zinc mining over 30 years ago. Very little vegetation grows now on parts of the mountain, despite some concerted efforts at bringing it back.

    I couldn't really enjoy the view from the second picture as I was too busy trying to hang onto the side of the mountain and fighting my fear of heights! But it was fun!

    Neat. Nice pics. I'm not hiking right now because I have a problem with my knee.

    I'm going to have the "chicken shots" to try to give some cushioning in both knees.
