DUmmie is given a job to perform. But instead of performing the assigned task, DUmmie spends time on internet at DUmmyland.

I only have dial-up Internet service where I live, so I only visit DU when I house-sit for an old friend. I actually signed up on DU when I was working for my freeper boss. DU was a godsend for me at that point in my life. Whenever freeper started in about how wonderful chimpy was, I tuned him out and turned to DU for my sanity.
Now, my current house-sitting job has come to and end, and it will be awhile before I log-on again. The past 18 days have been heaven for me - being on DU during the Democratic Convention AND the Failin' pick.
Thank you all for your intelligent and often hilarious insights.
Until next time (probably in October),

    4. Jesus, me too.
I'd be willing to bet that I've been on DU about 5 or 6 hours a day. Stayed up way too late each night...there's always something new to read or watch!
Thanks to SarasotaRepub for your help! :D

He did his job. He was in a house and he was sitting. What more do you want ?:D

House-sitting is gainful employment for any DUmmie. I dare say it is a dream job to most of them.

He can only get online when he's house sitting?

So he uses the computer - which doesn't belong to him?
So he uses the electricity - which doesn't belong to him?

He's stealing the use of the computer and he's stealing the electricity.

I highly doubt that the people who own the house would appreciate their IP hitting the DU site.

  6. #6 And even though he had the whole house to himself...
...you know he just sat in the basement in his underware hitting the rec! button all night.
