Cool and clear on The Mountain. Temp now is 42 degrees but it will likely warm up to the 70's today. The maples are in full leaf and the other hardwoods aren;t far behind. Dogwoods are still blooming.Nice.

TOTD: Summer vacations. You going? If so, where?

We're going to try to make it to Edisto this year but that will likely be in the Fall. Not sure yet about summer. Maybe a long weekend in Tennessee.
Hey careful man! There's a beverage here!

I've got some family in western NY I haven't seen in awhile. My next vacation will probably be a road trip up that way.

Wife has never spent any time in Cajun Country. We're going to New Iberia for a few days and just jack around.
That's our favorite style; just go there, stay at one place and do whatever comes to mind. We have read books while leaning against a lighthouse in Martha's Vineyard, caught crabs in Puget Sound, rode out a hurricane (Mitch) while anchored in Florida, explored Blue Spring, CO. Later, we're taking the train to Washington DC.

West Virginia for the boys, Canada for my niece, and probably some time on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, boating. I may either go to the islands for a long weekend or out west.

That's the way I like to vacation too. Just go somewhere, hang out and do whatever we feel like doing.
