    Round 1:

    West:
    Vancouver 4 - Chicago 3
    San Jose 4 - Los Angelas 2
    Detroit 4 - Phoenix 0
    Anaheim 2 - Nashville 4

    East:
    Washington 4 - New York 1
    Boston 4 - Montreal 3
    Philly 4 - Buffalo 3
    Pitt 3 - Tampa 4

So, round one results, only one underdog from each conferance actually pulled it off, and they were both 5th placed.

    Round 2 match ups.

    West:
    Vancouver 4 - Nashville 2
    San Jose 4 - Detroit 3

    East:
    Washington 0 - Tampa 4
    Boston 4 - Philly 0

    Conferance Finals

    West:
    Vancouver 4 - San Jose 1

    East:
    Boston 4 - Tampa 3

    Stanley Cup Finals

    Vancouver - Boston

In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.

In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

I wouldn't put too much stock in the Wings just yet. They're playing the NHL's version of the L.A. Clippers.

I didn't realize the clippers choked as much as the sharks.:D:p

Can't choke in the playoffs if you don't even make it there.

Despite losing so much of their team, I thought Chicago's experience from last year would've allowed them a better showing at least this year. Also figured that if they could start off with a win, they could rattle Vancouver some. I still think they have something to prove regarding handling adversity.

I'd love to see the Sabres keep going but without Miller being a wall, they got no chance against Philly.

That's the point. Like the Clippers, the 'Yotes rarely make the playoffs and when they do, it's usually a quick exit.

Slump is a relative term. They're too deep to go into a real slump. I root for a team that lost 20 of 21 this year...I know a real fucking slump when I see one! :o

If they get Zetterberg back and remain healthy, they will be there at the end.

Is it just me or does the guy doing color commentary on Versus for the Canucks-Hawks games sound just like Jesse Ventura?
