Not necessarily. I could have a fairly happy and pleasant life under current economic conditions but the conditions 50 years from now could be much worse or the culture could change to such a degree that I wouldn't recognize it. Toddlers today could spend their adult lives living in a kind of nanny-state slavery that is much worse than what we've seen so far.
Or things could change in the other direction. :)

Weather: 70-something and sunny. It's going to get hot as Hades soon.
TOTD: My question for the future would be considered based on whether or not knowledge of the future could facilitate a change in the outcome of the future. If the future is 'read only', I'd have to go with the next major Powerball Jackpot numbers, however at that point, whether or not I bought a ticket with those numbers would be pre-determined wouldn't it?"In England a king hath little more to do than to make war and give away places; which in plain terms, is to impoverish the nation and set it together by the ears. A pretty business indeed for a man to be allowed eight hundred thousand sterling a year for, and worshipped into the bargain! Of more worth is one honest man to society and in the sight of God, than all the crowned ruffians that ever lived."

Who stole my ring when I was in the 8th grade.
It was my first "real" ring that I had gotten for Christmas.
It had a big round center blue topaz (my birthstone) and
little diamonds on the sides. I took it off for gym class,
and someone stole it out of my clothes pockets while
we were outside, along with taking a few things from
other people too. This has always pissed me off. I still
want to know who out there has my ring. I'd like to
bash their face in.
Odd isn't it how you just never know what might cause
an old festering issue to resurface. :o

TOTD: despite my tendency to be philosophic and how much I like thinking about "big questions", in reality, if I could know 1 thing, it would probably be the next mega millions lotto numbers.
