Oh man, it's warm enough to enjoy the Great Sport of CYCLING!!!!!!

    w00t-age. :D

We've ridden a few times but no long rides yet. Edisto Island is a great place for cycling. In Florida we plan to ride the bike paths along A1A between Daytona and St Augustine some time this year.

And we fully expect to hit some good Rails to Trails routes this year.

And don't forget, wear appropriate SAFETY GEAR like HELMETS (Ginger) ........ and appropriate fashion as well.

    Anybody going riding?
Hey careful man! There's a beverage here!

Great, more two wheeled terrors just waiting to cut me and my 50,000 lb GVW truck off in traffic.

Cyclists are the reason truckers are not allowed to be armed.....

You still don't know the difference between grilling and BBQ and you want to give an opinion on bikes?

You are too gay to post in this thread and that's coming from a genetic female and a guy in Spandex.

    Unarmed Truckers? Unarmed Truckers?

Damn. When I ride my bike I'm armed. Hard to conceal a firearm when I'm wearing Spandex too.

All I'll say on that score is....I'm glad it stretches....

That particular deal fell through but I'm working on another. I had a chance to borrow a lesser ebike (an iZip Via Lento by Curry) and I rode my commute with it. Wow! Even though the bike wasn't fitted to me or anything, it was a dream to ride. I didn't use the assist on the way in (mostly downhill) but I did going home and the entire experience was totally different from using my regular bike. I was tired when I got home but not beat at all.

And no - I didn't wear a helmet. I looked totally adorable in sunglasses and a Princess Grace scarf. :D

Nice. I've never ridden that type of bike but would love to. I am way too far away from work to even think about riding my bike to work, or even to town. Plus, on the roads around here it would be EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to even think about commuting by bike.

"Sunglasses and a Princess Grace scarf".....was that all you were wearing? :p

Bubba, just tell me you have a real bicycle and not some hipster unicycle or old fashioned 1952 rare Schwinn made in a limted edition and painted purple with streamers or something.

I'll sleep better at night knowing there's one less of those monstrosities on the roads.
"In England a king hath little more to do than to make war and give away places; which in plain terms, is to impoverish the nation and set it together by the ears. A pretty business indeed for a man to be allowed eight hundred thousand sterling a year for, and worshipped into the bargain! Of more worth is one honest man to society and in the sight of God, than all the crowned ruffians that ever lived."

Aren't bicycles toys? I don't play with toys anymore.

Noble Mon, I have a genuine, made in Wisconsin, TREK model 4500 mountain bike. I raised the handlebars slightly but otherwise it is stock.

27 speeds....all slow, in my case.....:D Strictly Fat Tire. :D

I don't have full knobbies but have a more road friendly tread on the tires but still with enough pattern to be okay on dirt roads. (I don't do mud anymore. At least, not if I can help it.)

I mostly ride back roads and trails.
