After watching the array of lovely (and some horrible) hats at the royal wedding, I decided to check out the prices at Harrods for some lovely little numbers. Check these out. Which is your favorite?

Here's a currency converter to see the real cost. I saw a spiffy little feather extravaganza for 549 pounds. After running it through the conversion,:eek::eek:

I'm not a hat-wearer since I wear my hair piled up with combs or clips or sticks but that the one I'd go for. :)

What a buy at $709.41 (I used the currency converter) :D

It actually isn't too bad, much better than those disasters the Duchess of York's daughters wore (Fergie's kids, who apparently share her taste in clothes).

Beatrice must have been on acid to think that hat was good-looking. That girl could really benefit from some couture advice. She's no natural beauty and the right clothes and accessories could help her out a lot.

Here's one of those lovely plate hats for the low, low price of 1,800 pounds or $3,000.

I suspect those royals weren't buying the hats at Harrods. There was a whole lot of currency wasted on hats at that wedding.

Oddly, it's by the same designer (Philip Treacey) as made Beatrice's wedding hat (the beige structural one).
I'd love to have a hat but unfortunately they don't suit me at all. :(

I actually WOULD buy this one if I needed a nice hat. The last time I wore hats, though, is when Diana made that "equestrian with a veil" look popular.
