quit drinking 20 years ago (a couple of sips on New Years notwithstanding)
quit smoking 3 years ago
But if I really do have kidney failure, then I might be open to some other vice.
I smoke Pall Mall or Marlboros.
When I drink, which I rarely do anymore (still have 4 bottles of a six pack I bought in January 2010), my preferences are good tequila, Jack Daniels, cheap tequila and whatever beer.
I smoke Marlboro special blend light 100s (gotta save money you know!) and I don't drink a lot anymore but when I do, I do Southern Comfort.
I've never smoked and rarely drink. SR stopped smoking the day he had the stroke. The first words out of the neurologists mouth were, "Do you smoke"?
Marlboro and Glenfiddich. The former I should dispense with, the latter I would rather die first.
I am a recovering alcoholic. I stopped smoking 3 months after the Lord freed me from the need to drink.
I hate the smokes with a passion. I can't stand to be anywhere near it.
Lips that touch tobacco shall never touch mine. I can't stand to be near
a smoker even if they aren't lit up at moment they still reek of it in their
clothes and hair.
In my younger days I used to drink quite a bit, never alone but life was
always a party. Around 40-ish I stopped the partying and got more
serious with my life. Today I rarely ever have a drink, usually then only
one glass of wine with dinner sometimes on special occasions.
I've always been a non-smoker. I had to really, really love SR to be with a, gasp, smoker. People who knew me for years couldn't believe it. :D
The guy who's president of our HOA (also has a plumbing company in his real life) told me to put a cut onion in SR's SUV. He still can't drive and it's just been sitting in the garage. At lest it isn't gathering additional smoke.
SR laughed at me and said it smelled terrible in there (this from the White Castsle fanatic). We used it today---it smelled decent. I could stand being in there.
So remember onions, cut on both ends, standing in the car minimum 24 hours. It did a greyt job.
