My wife is a bit on the blue side. No how we handle it? We just don't talk politics.

My wife and I were on the same path as you and your wife. What got my wife to start seeing the conservative side of the message was the fact that I encouraged her to start her own business back in 1999. She did and the transformation from a liberal loon to a conservative darling was nothing short of spectacular.

And the fact it drives my hippie in-laws insane too is just icing on the cake. :D

I could never live with / date anyone with a left leaning nature.
I find anyone that would associate their name with the democrat
party in any way shape or form, to be deeply flawed and mentally
defective. I can't even stand to visit in the home of someone that
is even mildly liberal minded. The older I get the less patience I
have for even trying to attempt a conversation with someone that
isn't pretty far to the right. I sure would not allow one to live in
my house full time. No blue mates for me.

I get into alot of trouble too! I have what they call "0" tolerence for Moonbats!:D

I am pretty much libertarian and my wife identified herself as a democrat when we met although her actual views leaned and still lean a lot more to the libertarian side. Being black, I guess I've led her to vote against her best interests, lol.

Of course I'm screwed up from growing up with a step-dad on the extreme right and a mom who proudly calls herself a socialist and at one time was a very high ranking member in NOW. We had some AWESOME arguments at the dinner table when I was growing up!
