Not completely on-topic, but isn't the long-time Mayor of Ft. Worth a Democrat? To my recollection, Tarrant County was always an unusual voting area.

Mike Moncrief was a Democrat when he was in the legislature. The mayoral races here are non-partisan, though. Come to think of it, I don't know the parties of the candidates running now (Mike Moncrief is retiring). But that is Ft Worth, for you. Probably for the best since partisan candidates are pretty meaningless at the municipal level.

IIRC, Kay Granger was a pretty popular mayor and then ran for Congress as a Republican. I guess I have forgotten that the mayoral races are non-partisan, but I always knew that Moncrief was a Dem.

    I stand by my comment.

The AP-Get Frigging Real Poll is a joke. The economy is getting better. These assholes lie.

No, Obama leads among imaginary voters. ACORN has seen to that.
