IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn's arrest costs Europe key ally in Greek debt talks

The former French finance minister had been a key ally for the European Union as Greece, Ireland and Portugal sought billion pound bail-outs to pay their debts. Europe's finance ministers will meet in Brussels Monday to hammer out the final details of a €78bn IMF-backed bail-out for Portugal and discuss further funding for Greece. Mr Strauss-Kahn was due to brief German chancellor Angela Merkel on Sunday as well as attend meetings in Brussels. Economists said his absence came at a sensitive time. Concerns grow that Greece will fail IMF-imposed targets to qualify for June's €3.3bn payment from last year's €110bn...

IMF spokesman William Murray said Lipsky will meet with members of the IMF board on Sunday to inform them of developments. The board is the main overseer of the IMF’s daily operations. “In line with standard...

The real crime here is that he went from wholesale rape of the taxpayers to doing it one person at a time.

There are some personal touches that we can all do without, especially when they involve the bodily fluids of tubby, elderly French political hacks. Being sexually assaulted by the head of the IMF, after being taxed to bail out the economies of wastrel states throughout the world, is just a variation on the theme.

IMF accuser in apt. for HIV vics

The IMF chief's alleged sex-assault victim lives in a Bronx apartment rented exclusively for adults with HIV or AIDS, The Post has learned.

The hotel maid, a West African immigrant, has occupied the fourth-floor High Bridge pad with her 15-year-old daughter since January -- and before that, lived in another Bronx apartment set aside by Harlem Community AIDS United strictly for adults with the virus and their families.
