    This storm just got upgraded to a CAT 3.



    More hurricane worries...maybe for Florida again.

    I'm glad that my dad now spends his summers with his wife at her place in Ohio, instead of 2 miles from Florida's Gulf Coast, where they spend their winters.

    I do hope that there is some provision in the condo owners' association that has them board up windows and such in the snowbirds' absence.

    We have had a nightmare with the "refugees". They complained constantly about the shelters, food, showers, facilities and then FEMA in their great wisdom announced they would cover Hotel bills. AAAGGGHHHHHH!

    I don't know if they can get volunteers to help with them again. I heard people mutter "should have left them up on their roof in NOLA".
    This is bigger than presidential politics. This is a battle for America.

    Boy it's great to live in the rockies. I heard a good one yesterday.

    1. Dig a moat along the US-Mexico border.
    2. Truck the dirt to NO and raise the city.
    3. Truck the displaced gators back to the moat.
