    the texas taliban strikes again

texas has a a very successful womans health plan called the medicare womans health care program. it provides contraceptive care and disease screening to 125,000 low income women.
the Texas GOP,in their anti planned parenthood mood will only renew it if planned parenthood is banned from receiving the money. in addition in PP were to sue to get the ban overturned the program would be immediatly terminated.

In addition to contraceptive care, participants get screening for cancer, diabetes, hypertension, anemia, and sexually transmitted diseases . the program saves the state $21.4 million a year be reducing medicare financed births.

without the program there will be more unwanted pregnancies and therefore more abortions in texas

so i guess the texas GOP supports more abortions
    Some logic, huh?

No, it's liberals who "supports more abortions" by choosing Planned Parenthood's abortions over this program that actually provides comprehensive health care to low income women.

And as usual over at DU they don't bother to post a link so one can check out what they say without spending time trying to figure out where they got it from.

    1. And more women will be subject to the real threat of death.

Hypertension, diabetes, cancer, not to mention (ironically) the threat of dying during childbirth.

I don't understand why there isn't a louder national cry against this attack on women.
More logic. Who provides more care regarding "hypertension, diabetes, cancer" etc. Planned Parenthood or this other program?

OH, I GET IT! They are saying that Planned Parenthood should get the money and that it will be the fault of conservatives that liberals choose abortion in funding Planned Parenthood over actual health care for low income women.

    2. The "Pro-life" group in Texas is anything but.

Fortunately, you can still buy wire hangers here. Texas is rapidly becoming a third-world country.
    Sigh.
Liberals definition of third world country=one without abortion on demand.

This guy really needs to do some research on how women are treated in these fundamentalist Muslim nations before they start throwing terms like Texas Taliban around.

Which is strange because DUers have always supported the real Taliban
