In what has been characterized as a “bombshell,” President Obama sided with Palestinians against Israel during his Mideast speech when he revealed his support of the Palestinians’ demands that Israel pull back to their borders based on how they were before the 1967 Middle East war. Obama said, “We believe the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines with mutually agreed swaps…The Palestinian people must have the right to govern themselves and reach their full potential in a sovereign and contiguous state.”

It is very difficult politically to stand up to Israel in the United States. That is why I am leaning toward this being just rhetoric. It's not even that harsh if you look at it. The so-called Two State solution has been around since before Obama came on the scene and he had all kinds of weasel words in his statement so ..... not really that harsh at all.

Which pretty much goes to show you have much of an Israeli bitch the United States has become if something as mild as what he said has people running in circles pulling their hair out.

Since the term Palestinian isn't even 100 years old, it seems more reasonable to return the borders to where they were in 926 BC the region was commonly know as Judea (from the Hebrew: יהודה, Standard Yəhuda Tiberian Yəhûḏāh "Tribe of Judah", Greek: Ιουδαία, Ioudaía; Latin: Iudaea).

For the sake of historical accuracy the "Palestinians" (who started using that word in 1920 because it sounded neat) should get or retain the region of Philistia that is truly where the philistines set up came in the days of yore.

It's time for this canard of Palestine to go the way of the dodo. A sand pirate can call themselves Jedi Knights, but they will still be sand pirates.
