PRINCETON, NJ -- Newly announced presidential candidate Herman Cain, although still not widely known, has the highest Positive Intensity Score among Republicans of any potential GOP candidate still in the race. The positioning of two other candidates who have recently announced presidential bids -- Tim Pawlenty and Ron Paul -- has not changed. Both have average or below-average appeal among Republicans. Newt Gingrich's Positive Intensity Score is below average, and is down from the week prior.

That's good news. I hope he can start to move vertically on that scale.
In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.
In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

I made a nice donation to his campaign. I think Cain would be Obama's worst nightmare as an opponent.

Cain has a history, as opposed to the messiah. Cain has run a business, as opposed to the annointed one. Cain has had to meet a payroll, as opposed to Dear Leader. Cain is not afraid to make a decision without polling it first, as opposed the one we have been waiting for. Cain stands with and supports Israel, he recognizes that they are our one true ally in the M.E., as opposed Seamus Obama.
The name recognition will come and so correspondingly will the relentless media attacks. I met the man at a Tea Party event, I believe that he can handle the mud that is sure to fly.

Yeah, I can see Wilbur thinking that. I like the guy quite a lot from what I have heard from him so far. I will say that him being black would make for an interesting conundrum for any black voters who consider race a factor in their decision about who to vote for. It also will force the Democrats to keep their race cards in their wallets and they are NOT going to like that since it's their favored political weapon. It really would be interesting.

yep, but he's not even really well liked by the GOP leadership, thats why we have Romney and Newt in the race.
I was listening to Karl Rove on Hannity last night saying that he doesn't think there are any more jumping in that who has and who has been mentioned. Then he went on to say that the second wave of support should come in August. when that happens expect Cain to shoot up the ladder in name recognition

I used to sort of like Newt (as a commentator), but I think he's a tool now. I mean if you look up "Washington insider" in the dictionary, his picture will be right there. Then the guy has the temerity to claim he isn't, emphatically claim even:

Nope, no way I would vote for Newt; not that he will get that far because he loves to hear himself talk and seems to have stopped thinking about what he says before he says it."The efforts of the government alone will never be enough.
