Appearance - wise, yes. Otherwise, no. He is not the most photogenic person out there, but he is pretty conservative.
I long for the days when our President actually liked our country.

Aaah... that is where i've heard it before. I have seen him on there a few times. He always seemed a bit to stiff for Red Eye.
In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.

In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

It's the dry humor. He's very good at that. :)

<snickers> If that man were any dryer, he'd shrivel up and blow away. Rachel Maddow can hate on him all she wants, but he's pretty cool.

Almost as physically compelling as Mitch Daniels. Almost.

Looks like he's going to announce on Saturday

    Sources: McCotter may jump in

Roll Call ran full-speed ahead with this headline, but read below and youíll see this isnít quite etched in stone. Yet. Late Thursday evening approaching a holiday weekend seems like a strange time to drop news like this, but then again it is Fourth of July weekend. What better timing?

I love Thad McCotter. Heís a solid conservative, kills on Red Eye, and he even gets the Led out on the House floor. Thatís a pretty cool package.

Rep. Thaddeus McCotter plans to announce his 2012 presidential bid Saturday, USA Today and the Detroit News reported Thursday, citing unidentified sources.

The Michigan Republican will announce his campaign in his home state, making him the third House Member to enter the race. Reps. Michele Bachmann (Minn.) and Ron Paul (Texas) have also launched campaigns.

McCotter spokeswoman Michaela Huntley told the Detroit News that the lawmaker had made a decision about whether to run, but she declined to disclose his plans.
"Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings..." Patrick Henry

I can totally overlook his lack of compelling nature for the playing guitar and dry wit. He's like Gary Sinise. But alot less handsome.
