"[I]f you go back to the year 2000, when we had an obvious disaster and - and saw that our voting process needed refinement, and we did that in the America Votes Act and made sure that we could iron out those kinks, now you have the Republicans, who want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws and literally - and very transparently - block access to the polls to voters who are more likely to vote Democratic candidates than Republican candidates. And it's nothing short of that blatant," DNC Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (FL) told TVOne's "Washington Week."

Someone should tell that idiot who it was that set up the Jim Crow laws, and who it was that tore them down.
In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.

In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

Just when I thought this slag couldn't get any stupider, she speaks and proves me wrong. Tell me, Madam, why, during that "disaster" of 2000, your boy didn't want military absentee ballots counted?

Your characterization of Jim Crow is rather simplistic, but even if it weren't, how would the origins of Jim Crow be relevant to whether the GOP is trying to disenfranchise voters today?

No, she's saying that the GOP efforts have nothing to do with curtailing voter fraud, and everything to do with discouraging Democratic voters.

And how, pray tell, do they accomplish this? Putting armed guards outside of polling places per se?
