We don't know if they had an open marriage, and based on the language used in his conference, I bet not.

Wrong Whitebread. He has brought shame on the Congress by his bad judgement, his lack of morals and a lack of ethics. He could not survive as a military man or a CEO of a corporation.

Doing kinky sex on the taxpayer's dime is NOT OK. Many, many, many, many employees have gotten fired for just LOOKING at porno on the job. There is a good chance that he was engaged in it on the job. Surely, you are not that stupid to see a problem here?

There's evidence that he phonesexed one of these females from his line at his office. Open marriage or not, you should be fired for that.

But I will agree that the blackmail element is there, and is important. Hell, that's what destroyed Nixon...blackmail. If he's already fallen into being blackmailed, and he's lied to the people about his actions, I'll concede and say, yes, he should resign.
Even if he hasn't actually been blackmailed, he has put himself in the position to be. That is the kind of reckless conduct that gets your security clearance pulled if you are not a congressman, but just a grunt.

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!
