WTF!!??
All through the primaries, they had a Hillary sign.
I just walked my dog and passed this new sign about gun ownership:
"I'm a 'bitter' gun owner and I vote!"

I wanted to puke.

This is in a middle class neighborhood in the city of Pittsburgh!
How the hell these people think that they are a part of the decimated, embittered, rural areas of America that Obama was talking about is beyond me.
Sorry, but when there is a Whole Foods, a Trader Joe's, four post offices, two Starbucks and a three sushi restaurants within a fifteen minute walk from your house....guess what???
You are not small town America!
You are not living in a depressed, rural setting!

Damn it, its weird how angry this makes me. Its not a McCain sign. Its an anti-Obama sign.

Just needed to vent.

Maybe I'll stop picking up my dog's turds when she wanders into that particular yard. Then again, I may get shot.

5. I think you are right.

I just hate to see it on our street, a street that has been so optimistically pro-Obama. I was a neighborhood captain for Obama during the primary and this ward had so many eager volunteers, there were house parties for undecided voters and just a general buzz on the streets.
Like I said, it would be one thing to simply advertise support of McCain. This sign is blatantly disingenuous and just a big ole downer.

Ya know, as much as I love my son, I almost slugged him! (And almost told him to go back to northern Virginia!)

He has DEFINITELY not only drunk the Kool-Aid, he got an IV.

Most people who own guns are law abiding and have them to protect life and limb !Advertising a gun in my estimation forwarns a potential house breaker and if he is a serious type will come in armed with several others all armed.True a sign would hopefully prevent the casual kid from breaking into your house but not someone determined to do you harm.

Megi! That was some extrapolation! Armed with several others armed?!! What is thier goal! Why chance it. The point of being armed and others knowing it, is they will steal elsewhere.

Actually criminals are cowards. They will not take the chance of being harmed for some possible gain. Instead they will go prey on easier prey.

Which is fine by me, I didnt want to wash the blood out of the carpet anyway.

The ones that the sign does not deter are the ones that it wouldnt have mattered anyway.

Also why would a criminal go get his bunch of buddies all dressed in black and armed to go rob a single house. There are easier ways to steal, and they wont risk being killed for it.

We are gun owners and McCain supporters.
I'd LOVE to put that sign on my lawn, and the bumper sticker as well.
But, I know that there will be riots if Obama doesn't win.
I won't take a chance at becoming a target.
