Even? We just ran into yet another moronic regulation from the FDA. We have some scopes that can be cleaned several different ways, along with many that can only be run through a Steris unit. Since the manufacturer of the "several-different-ways" scope specifically states that processing with a Steris unit is acceptable, we've always run all our scopes the same way. Now the FDA has decided that a scope that can be autoclaved, must be autoclaved.

So, now we get to spend multiple man-hours training staff to clean scopes 2 different ways, we get to make sure every one of them understands which scope is which (and I can guarantee we'll have a few of the "other" scopes end up melted), we have to set up procedures to get scopes moved back and forth as needed, and policies for several departments will have to be re-written. It's going to cost most hospitals quite a bit of money, on top of all the money we must spend to meet asinine government regulations that in no way make healthcare safer or more reasonable.

The same holds true for every government agency. A huge percentage of their regulations do no good whatsoever...except they make some pencil-pusher (or should I say, keyboard commando) look like he or she is actually doing something to earn those lavish salaries.

Just as our President has no clue what life is like for normal people, or what it's like to hold a normal job, or how to run an actual business, way too much of our government has no clue how to do the jobs they regulate.

The only good thing about watching liberals online is that we start to see how many of them have no clue how to keep a job, do a job, or think.

The fact that Conservatives:
-Want to gut or Get rid of every regulatory agency, even including the FDA
-Want to relax regulations to the point of non-existence.
-Want to gut or Get rid of every social safety net
-Want to get rid of public education in every form
-Are almost entirely against gay rights
-Feel that this is a "Christian nation", and not simply in terms of demographics
-Feel that nearly every one who disagrees with them is a Socialist or Communist
-Believe Liberals are allied with Jihadist Muslims
-Believe the sitting President, along with almost every President of the 20th century, seeks and sought to harm America intentionally.

Amongst other things, has opened my eyes.
