You can manipulate your little quiz all you like, socialized medicine will never equate to conservatism.
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!
21 Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes
And clever in their own sight! Isaiah 5:20-21 NASB

Come on Rock, he said no such thing. He said that Romney is largely overall conservative. It's just like the bullshit with McCain. One of the strongest fiscal conservatives out there, but most people consider him a dem because they don't like a couple of issues with him.
Bachmanns double speak on this gay marriage thing has irked me a bit. In the last debate she clearly said she would not get in the way of a State from making the decision about gay marriage, and now she's railing on about how she'd try to make a Constitutional Amendment barring it nation wide.
Make your mind up.In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.
In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

McCain and Romney hold a lot of conservative (adjective) positions, but they are not conservatives (noun). They lack the overarching philosophical framework that puts their conservative ideas into a coherent whole. Thus, while they are on the conservative side of many issues, they are capable of making liberals very happy when they stray into areas where they lack that framework.
Bachmann, OTOH, is a conservative. And, with her strong showing in the polls, the momentum seems to be going her way. Romney is the establishment candidate. Bachmann is the activist/grassroots candidate. If it's a tight race between the two of them, then eventually, the other conservative candidates will end up supporting her as they drop out, while the establishment guys go to Romney. That means that she picks up Cain's delegates, Santorum's and Pawlenty's. Romney will pick up Huntsman's and Newt's.Last edited by Odysseus; 06-26-2011 at 03:54 PM.

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!

SO you are saying you would sit home and let the Dims win?
If you remember what I said in another thread, I would vote for Bozo the Clown if he won our party ticket.
I want that dumb-ass gone more then any thing. I would love a true conservative as our party ticket, but in the end, I really just want Obama gone. This country cant take another 4 years of Obama/Reid/Pelosi/Holder and the rest of his corrupt cronies.Klaatu barada nikto

Ya. That's where he currently is measured on the political compass.....as he stands or says he stands on issues during an election period
When are people going to listen to what politicians say and remember WHAT they actually do? I'm not talking the last year or two...I'm talking historical philosophy. You are too smart to be bafooned by this charlatan.
