#1 Why No Anti-War Rallies? (Another Leftist Hypocrisy
06-26-2011, 06:50 PM
Before the Iraq War, there were countless anti-war rallies around the world about our plans to invade and depose Saddam Hussein and his bloodthirsty sons. "No Blood For Oil" was the rallying cry. These continued long after the war began. However, not so strangely, there has been nary a peep from the peaceniks. Oh, there's been rhetoric, but where are the thousands deep marches and the rallying cries now? Where are the marches protesting our possible involvement in Libya? I'd be interested in hearing from the liberals on these boards on this rather huge discrepancy.

Too many people still see this as Booshes War. To them, Obama is still the guy trying to clean up the previous admins messes as his staff, congresscritters and assorted talking heads like Hissy Fit Matthews, Olbermann, O'Donnell, Maddow, and the no IQ View Crew like to try and remind us.
I have seen little things here and there that there is disenchantment in paradise, which is why I believe Obama just made the "withdrawl" announcement. If the R's can run a credible candidate with a plausible or workable Middle East Cesspool exit strategy, it could be the final blow to Obama.

In a small way they are protesting. But the media is refusing to cover any of it out of respect they don't want to make their anointed one look bad.
Sheehan is having kittens about the war and has very interesting choice words for Obama.
Cindy Sheehan's Soapbox Radio Show For the Empire-Impaired, I will translate Obama's speech tonight for you right now: "My poll numbers are down since I "killed" OBL; my attack on Libya is not popular; the economy is screwed and I'm making it worse; the environment is in peril and I love BIG OIL, Nuclear Energy and "clean" coal; and my 2012 Campaign needs an infusion of cash. You can trust me this time."
