This man is just plain filthy. I mean filthy. He shut down the most offensively prolific team in baseball last night. 2 hits and recorded his 3rd consecutive complete game shut out. He now has thrown 32 consecutive shut out innings.

Yankee fans very much appreciate that too.

I am sure that fan that spat on his wife in the 09 World Series is really regretting that choice. :D

The stories emerged last fall/winter. They originated from when the Rangers (with Cliff Lee) played in Yankee Stadium during the playoffs in 2010, not from when he was a Phillie the prior year.

Ok I thought it stemmed from the Phills series. :)

spitting on opposing fans has always been the norm in Yankee stadium. :D

Yes but this idiot spit on the wife of a guy the Yankees badly wanted to pitch for them. Cliff Lee thumbed his nose at NY when he took less money to come to Philly. And all of that only made the trading of Lee last year a real head scratcher. They traded Lee for a few bags of used baseballs(I don't believe any of the "prospects" we got are even in the organization) only to re-sign him in the offseason. Why go through the trouble trading him in the first place? We didn't get anything for him and in the end, we were forced to trade prospects for Roy Oswalt who pitched well but having Lee as well as Happ on this roster would have been better.
