I don't believe that encouraging Leftists to vote for Nader is necessarily "working against the Republican candidate".
The fact is, encouraging Leftists to vote for Nader helped to lose Al Gore the Election in 2000. If you don't realize that encouraging Leftists to SPLIT THEIR VOTES does, in fact, help the Republican, I'd advise you to look over Nader's Vote Totals -- versus Gore's margin of defeat -- in the battleground States for the 2000 Election, one more time.

Shoot...I voted third party last go around. Wasn't anyway I was going to vote for McCain or Obama. I'm supremely confident i'll probably be doing that again if they give me a Palin or Romney. Using that logic, I helped elect Obama.

I agree with you; I don't view any Nominee of any Party as "owning" my Vote, they need to earn it.
I'm just pointing out that, if Paul's "endorsements" (which were basically nothing more than a declaration of dis-satisfaction with the Major Party candidates) of Nader and McKinney "hurt" anyone's totals in the General Election -- it hurt Obama, not McCain. It's not like McCain was going to get a lot of these Leftists' votes, anyway.

If Paul polls so well how come he can never get the nomination?
The Ronulans and their "we're kicking ass in the polls" crap they trot out every four years reminds me of this:
You cultists just keep telling yourselves that this year will be your year.
Meanwhile those of us living in reality will try and pick the best candidate with the most realistic chance of getting this Socialist we have now out of office.

He's run for the Republican Nomination for President exactly once before.
In case you hadn't noticed, the Media's putative "front-runner", Romney, is himself a 2008 re-tread.
As was McCain a re-tread in 2008, for that matter.
In other words, your criticism means exactly nothing.
