Because the world has gone completely crazy, everything is being turned upside down and we are being conditioned to except it all as normal.

fortunately this little valley was founded by the LDS...so I am pretty safe in assuming that since the faculty at the local elementary is 90% or greater Mormon, gay history won't be on the curriculum any time soon.

As I said before, I don't really know why every American needs to know who George Washington's wife or girlfriend (aka "who he slept with") was but it's included. As for why gay figures should be identified as such, gay kids need cultural support and heroes as much as anyone else. While it's fine to declare that all children should admire all admirable historical figures regardless of their culture, ethnicity, or orientation children also look for someone in the book who is "like me".

Which has absolutely zero to do with your child's sexual orientation.

You mean the people who believe with absolutely nothing to support it, and completely different history of pre-columbian America, and that when you die you will get your own planet?

Why should children look for those "like me"? How about children looking for those unlike them that they may wish to emulate?

We could say they are spending like drunken sailors. That would be unfair to drunken sailors, they're spending their OWN money.

As I am often told on this forum, if you are not one and have never been one then you are talking about something you neither know nor understand.
