Lazy Lasagna
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon dry onion
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sweet basil flakes
  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 3/4 lb mozzerella cheese, grated
  • 3/4 lb lasagna noodles
Brown ground beef with onion and seasonings. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce and water. Bring to a boil, simmer 10 minutes (This will be thin mixture). In 13"x9" pan, ladle about 1 1/2 cup sauce, making a layer across the bottom of the pan, next, layer of noodles, uncooked. Fill in any empty spaces with broken noodle pieces. Ladle more sauce to cover noodles, then sprinkle 1/3 of grated cheese over sauce. Make 3 layers of sauce, noodles and cheese on top. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 1 - 1 1/2 hours.
