    SMACK: Take that POW McCain

Obama tells ABC’s George Stephanopoulos in an interview taped for “This Week”:

Obama disclosed that he had once considered serving in the military.

“You know, I actually did,” Obama said. “I had to sign up for Selective Service when I graduated from high school. And I was growing up in Hawaii. And I have friends whose parents were in the military. There are a lot of Army, military bases there.

“And I actually always thought of the military as an ennobling and, you know, honorable option. But keep in mind that I graduated in 1979. The Vietnam War had come to an end. We weren't engaged in an active military conflict at that point. And so, it's not an option that I ever decided to pursue.”
And that should put an end to that lack of experience argument.

OK, since Zer-0 "thought" about going into the military, does he get imaginary Veteran's benefits?

Only a DUer could construe this to be EXPERIENCE.

Please tell me this is a mole planted post. It scares me to think that even the DUmmies are stupid enough to believe that thinking about serving in the military shows the same courage and experience as being a POW.

Check out this article from a British newspaper

The statement is thought to be the first time during the 19-month-long presidential campaign that the Democratic nominee for the White House has indicated he once wanted to serve in uniform. The aspiration was not mentioned in either of his two volumes of memoirs.

Didn't Hillary say she had gone to a Marine recruiter but her vision was too bad?
This is bigger than presidential politics. This is a battle for America.

This DUmmy can't be serious. That has to be the stupidest thing I have ever read in my entire life.

Barry thinking about joining the military = spending 5+ years in the most unimaginable shit you'd ever want to be in. Yeah, that compares. And the remaining DUmmies let that slide.

I noticed Hussein took the effort to mention the Selective Service. Has that document ever been released?

Obama said that running a campaign for president qualifies as experience for being president so he probably thinks thinking about joining the military is just like actually serving.

Then on July 2, 1980, President Jimmy Carter signed Proclamation 4771, Registration Under the Military Selective Service Act, retroactively re-establishing the Selective Service registration requirement for all 18-26 year old male citizens born on or after January 1, 1960. Only men born between March 29, 1957, and December 31, 1959, were completely exempt from Selective Service registration.[2] The first registrations after Proclamation 4771 took place on Monday, July 21, 1980,
