    Nice dog.

Makes me sad, because we just tried with a puppy. Black lab/Blue Heeler mix. She was a good dog, but with the 3 year old, and an incoming baby, it was just the wrong time. Really sucked taking her back to the shelter.
In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.

In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

This is my first dog. I've been wanting one for some time (heh, let's face it, for a long time). I always figured it'd be fairer on dear JennyCat to wait ... she'd had a bad run-in with a dog a long time ago that left marks.

Medium term goal is to get a kitten, but right now is clearly puppy time ... I have enough on my hands at the moment. :D:D

    Great dog! Nice pics.

But only a Brit would wear socks with sandals.

I didn't know you counted yourself in that demographic, sorry. :)

you still have JennyCat? Getting a young Puppy if you already have a cat is a good thing. Even if the cat never likes him and only tolerates him, they will get along much better. :)

I can assure you the birthday boy doesn't wear socks with his sandals. :D But then it's rarely cold here, so there's no reason to do it.

JennyCat died in March, sadly. She had a good innings at 14 years, but still miss her.

As to sandals AND socks, managing a pupper is going to lead to some fashion failures on my part ... it's inevitable.

Anyway, I have made some minor adjustments today, which are working out quite well. They address the style requirement (no socks OR sandals) and puppy happiness (the little bed under the table). The combination has the added benefit of keeping my bare feet warm. :D

That looks like one contented pooch. And good point about the socks, haven't had a puppy for so long forget about those sharp little nails. Sadly with greyhound rescue the "pups" are very large when they're adopted.
