Ok, first Al Gore, and now Chris Matthews are calling for people to hit the streets.
Who else? Seems I heard about another pundit saying this...Bill Maher, maybe? They do like to imagine that they "outnumber" conservatives.Liberal_Stalwart71 Donating Member (1000+ posts) Mon Aug-08-11 05:51 PM

27. Minus Wisconsin, of course. The majority of Americans are misinformed, disinformed,
LAZY!!
An *authentic* Tea Party grassroots movement would usher all these jackasses out of town!
We outnumber them. And still, the vast *majority* of us sit on our lazy, fat asses.

7. The last time millions of us hit the street we were ignored and called
a fucking focus group by Bush.
But if 2 and a half teabaggers hit the streets they stop the presses.Taverner Donating Member (1000+ posts) Mon Aug-08-11 05:32 PM

35. unfortunately, Oct. 6 is partially organized by those crackpots at ANSWER
who, with their habit of putting self-professed communist speakers on stage, has a tendency to highjack and hurt the credibility of many a cause on the left. As someone who went to DC 8 times to protest the war, I can say that any time ANSWER got involved it became cringe-inducing.
I'd like to see a major progressive rally (last year's Jon Stewart "Let's be Friends" event didn't count), put together by a solid group like moveon or maybe Feingold's Progressive United. People are ready to get out there, be heard and show the teabaggers what a real populist movement looks like.Proles (147 posts) Mon Aug-08-11 05:44 PM

23. Honestly, I think it's time.
How much more can the people take?
The question is whether Obama will continue to hide or actually wake up and stand behind us.
I certainly think another American revolution is coming.No. I don't think even then liberals will wake up. They will still blame conservatives and continue to everything that they have done to bring it to this point. They will still claim that raising taxes and increasing government regulations will somehow improve the economy.Blasphemer Donating Member (1000+ posts) Mon Aug-08-11 06:34 PM

40. It won't happen until there are soup lines
I think it will have to get really bad (as in depression bad) for people to wake up.
