David Letterman Death Threat: Jihadist Site Calls For Host's Killing

jihadist website has issued a death threat against David Letterman, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The threat was issued after Letterman referenced Ilyas Kashmiri, an al Qaeda leader killed in a drone strike in Pakistan in June, on his late night show. Letterman apparently joked about Kashmiri's death, something that enraged a poster on the website.

According to the SITE Intelligence Group, the user called for someone to "cut the tongue of this lowly Jew and shut it forever."

This won't be as easy as picking on Willow Palin.

And I'll bet the jihadist won't accept a crummy apology in a monologue.

We can't let them have David Letterman, next they would want John Stewart and Colbert, where would it end!
The difference between pigs and people is that when they tell you you're cured it isn't a good thing.

yep, and these people are "peaceful" and should be treated "nicely" like the Pres and ilk believe

They had a little blurb on FoxNews this am that I saw while in the doctor's waiting room. They said the show is on summer hiatus, but that it's being taken very seriously. As fast as Letterman drives, they might have a tough time catching up with him. Besides, he's one grouchy old lib. They might regret their threat. :D

I'll bet Dave has at least one firearm. He had that crazy stalker a while back who kept breaking into his house and claiming to be his wife.

They threatened the South Park guys a while back, and they are still walking around. So is Rushdie (although he had to hide for a long time), both President Bushes and President Clinton, all of whom have probably been threatened by radical muslims.

I went to Ball State University with Letterman in the 1960s, and his first wife, Michelle, lived next door to me at Lucina Hall so I saw him around some. Oddly enough, he showed no interest in politics at the time, being more involved with fraternity pranks, very few of which were actually funny.

Not that there was anything for a Libtard to protest about in the 60s.

    Oh, wait . . . . .

Was he a libtard then, too? Was he sort of nasty, the way he appears now or congenial?

I don't think he espoused any political causes until he discovered which side of the political spectrum butters a comedian's bread. Then he veered left.

And, yeah, he was (and probably remains) a self-centered little weasel. I always wondered what Michelle saw in him.

I ran into them a year or two after graduation at a coffee shop in Broadripple (a high-class area north of Indianapolis) and she was charming to an old acquaintance as we discussed mutual friends for a few minutes. He was too important to even acknowlege my existance.

I might think it's my oddball personality, except I also went to Ball State with Jim Davis - the one who greated 'Garfield' - and he's always been very nice when we run into each other.
