If mass graves filled with the bodies of murdered tourists haven't dissuaded you from making Acapulco your vacation/honeymoon/extramarital affair destination yet, this might do the trick: headless corpses have been turning up all over the seaside town, according to Mexican authorities.

The death toll includes "two decapitated and scalped bodies" that were cut up into pieces and left outside a Sam's Club, and three other headless bodies left in a car parked by the main tourist drag. Nobody knows where the heads have gone, but the faces and scalps of the "two decapitated and scalped bodies" were stuffed into a purse and left at the scene. Not really the kind of thing that a typical Sam's Club shopper's looking for (i.e. gigantic jars of mayonnaise and pickles)

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! :D

That's a shame. I loved going to Acapulco, greyt food and it was dirt cheap.
    I'll skip the bodies though...
May the FORCE be with you!

I used to turn down sales contests at my office where the prize was a vacation in Mexico. Usually said "no thanks" as had lived in San Antonio and was warned way back about going to the border towns. This is taking it to a new level in Acapulco.

Click on the link and see the pics of the tourists on the beach with military or police guys with their bullet proof vests strolling around the tourists. You don't see that in Florida. :D

There are bargains here all the time, no need to go to Mexico and have your face ripped off and put in a purse.

I was in Cozumel once a few years ago, and decided then and there I never need to see another square INCH of Mexico. There are too many nice places on the planet.

I felt safer in South Africa and Tanzania (during the Rhwanda crisis with lots of Red Cross trucks heading to Rhwanda) than I ever feel in Mexico.
