8:00 pm Light steady wind. Raining, but not very hard. I will try to update this at least every hour or when something happens. The storm is still 265 miles from Cape Hatteras and the barometric pressure has not dropped for about an hour. I am watching the storm with my friend John Barleycorn and if we don't lose power I will try to stay up untill I think the worst is over.

10:48 Just got our first gust about 10 min. ago. This is a very slow moving storm ,14 mph. Like a tourist from Penn.

I think you may be right. The wind has picked up and we see some lightning but not much else. We will see what it looks like in the morning.

Ya now they are predicting only 30 to 40 mile an hour winds in my area. :o
Only problem i see is the rain, we've had 10 inches in the last couple weeks so it could pose some flooding and trees falling down.
I must say SR was right.
