The good news is that most of the traffic lights were working when I went up to the hospital early this am; cleaned up the mess in my yard this pm of large branches and trash from the hurricane. The bad news is that a couple of ladies from a nursing home went to evaluate him without giving us advance warning. My 98 year dad cursed them out and told them to get the hell out and that only place he is going is home. He will probably be bed ridden the rest of his life.
TOTD: I check the $3 box on my IRS return and that's it. I could afford it but have never felt the urge to give anything to self serving politicians.

Pretty nice day here. Rain's stopped, but it hasn't gotten hot again. I guess that means it's officially fall now.
TOTD: We might be able to afford it, but I'm happy giving money to the Church and other charitable organizations. Plus, we're busy paying off all the debts from buying the house (credit card bill with the appliances is coming this week: eep!)
Maybe in another 4 years we'll be ready to contribute. But I'd rather give a couple grand to the federalist society than to politicians.
