#1 President Obama's Tax On Soup Kitchens
09-15-2011, 04:55 AM
With poverty on the rise let's tax donations to non-profits so more will have to look at the gov't for help...a great way to buy votes!
Yesterday, it was announced that an astounding 1 in 6 Americans are living in poverty. President Obama's response? To demand a tax on donations to soup kitchens and other charities that help people desperately in need. The President's proposal will impact approximately 40% of all the tax deductible contributions, and essentially penalize soup kitchens, hospitals, and churches that provide essential services to those who need them most. It’s no wonder this tax hike has been rejected on both sides of the aisle.

Donald Trump was on Greta last night and he said this was a stupid idea because donations by large donors would dry up. Removing the tax exemption would hurt the poor. What we have is a bunch of Democratic left wing lunatics making policy decisions. These Manhattan elitist don't have enough common sense God gave a jackass. This is just another money grubbing attempt to steal from the haves to fund the government. Plus, liberals are likely to make smaller donations to charities than conservatives based on a percentage of their income. There are many tax exempt organization like Unions, AARP, political and environmental, etc that should have their tax exempt status removed.

Stupid is the word for it. It won't generate any additional tax revenue for the Government, it will just dry up donations...while at the same time driving up demand for Government social services.
