Hellmann's Mayo America's Best Condiment, Heinz Ketchup Edged out by Tostito’s Salsa

Hellmann's is good, but Duke's is the best.

The weird thing is the South Beach Diet recommends regular may, not the low fat, light or whatever and says to NOT get the version of Miracle Whip. They didn't specifically say why, but suspect way too many artificial crud ingredients in those knock-offs.

I prefer Hellman's.

For some reason the light mayo is sweeter. It also contains corn starch so there are carbs in light mayo and miracle whip. This is why a low carb diet doesn't want you to use them.

Hellman's is good. I like the low-fat kind, too, especially for making seafood/pasta salad and similar things.


When I was a kid, we always had Miracle Whip, because that was what my dad likes. I never liked mayo because I didn't like Miracle Whip. I put ketchup on everything back then. I still like ketchup for hot dogs, burgers and fries, though. Tostito's salsa sucks, though. I can get much better salsa in Mexicantown at one of the "supermercados".
