#1 Wealthy Man Asks Obama ‘Please Raise My Taxes’09-27-2011, 02:03 AMPresident Obama took a break from his three-day campaign fundraising tour today to pitch his $447 billion jobs plan and defend his proposal to raise taxes on the wealthy to reduce the deficit, arguing that everyone is going to have to do their “fair share.”
At the “Putting America Back to Work” LinkedIn town hall in Mountain View, Calif., Obama came face-to-face with his deficit-reduction proposal. “Would you please raise my taxes?” asked Doug Edwards a former director of consumer marketing and branding at Google, who described himself as “unemployed by choice.”
“I would like very much to have the country to continue to invest in things like Pell grants and infrastructure and job training programs that made it possible for me to get to where I am,” Edwards said. “And it kills me to see Congress not supporting the expiration of the tax cuts that have been benefitting so many of us for so long. I think that needs to change, and I hope that you’ll stay strong in doing that.”
The question set up the president to explain why he thinks it’s necessary to reform the tax code so that “everybody is doing their fair share.”
“This is not an issue of do we somehow try to punish those who’ve done well. That’s the last thing we want to do. It’s a question of how can we afford to continue to make the investments that are going to propel America forward?” Obama said.
The president argued for returning to the tax rates of the 1990′s. “During that period, the rich got richer, the middle class expanded, people rose out of poverty because everybody was doing well,” Obama said.
Hey, a-hole. If you want to pay the government more, write a check. It's that simple. You don't need to step on everyone elses dick so you can get in line to slobber on Obama's knob.In most sports, cold-cocking an opposing player repeatedly in the face with a series of gigantic Slovakian uppercuts would get you a multi-game suspension without pay.
In hockey, it means you have to sit in the penalty box for five minutes.

I love this topsy-turvy world where struggling working class people turn out at rallies to support the corporate state and lower taxes for wealthy people, while wealthy people petition the government to raise top tax rates.Originally Posted by Adam Smith - Wealth of Nations

All those wealthy people who want their taxes raised should stop taking advantage of all those deductions that lower their tax rates. They can always write a fat check to the treasury if they feel guilty. They could stop shipping their wealth out of the country. These liberals don't really want their taxes raised. They want to look self righteous when they want YOUR taxes to be raised.
The difference between the working class and the liberal class is this. The working class person will rally to support their employer in a bid to save their job, pay the mortgage and go to the grocery store. The liberal finds that job unnecessary. If the employer were stripped of the wealth and property that maintains the work environment, there would be no need to pay the mortgage, the house would be free. The grocerty store would be free. All paid for by that formerly wealthy person. At least until we run out of other people's money.

I have no problem with Doug Edwards paying more taxes.
In fact, if he wants to cut out the middleman, he can send me a nice check to pay my taxes with. :)

That "little start up down the street" that the so called "unemployed" Mr. Edwards used to work for...is Google. He was high up the food chain as their head of brand marketing or something like that.
This was a staged and set up question and answer by the Obama crew by someone who has donated 300K to Democrat political figures since 2000.
He can ask for his takes to be raised all he wants to because there's a 99% chance he's living off of the interest he made on his millions at Google and isn't paying ANY taxes right now.
