In several polls, the results are the same: OWS has far more support than the Tea Party, which has generally negative net favorability

    http://www.nationaljournal.com/daily...urtax-20111018

    59% of people support OWS

CNN Opinion Research Poll This poll shows the Tea Party has 32% of the public supporting it and 47% viewing it negatively.

This Time poll shows the same picture: http://swampland.time.com/full-resul...011-time-poll/
54% Viewed OWS positively, 23% viewed OWS negatively, net rating at +31%
27% viewed Tea Party positively, 33% viewed Tea Party negatively, net rating at -6%

Also, in a poll done in conjunction with the conservative-leaning Wall Street Journal:
    http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/MSNBC/Se...tober_Poll.pdf

37% favor, and 18% oppose the Occupy Wall Street protesters : net of +19%
28% favor and 41% oppose the Tea Party: net of -13%

People keep talking about the protesters as if they represent the tiny extreme fringe, when in reality, the majority of Americans tend to support them, FAR more than the Tea Party.

Who would have thought the left would poll that way.

You're saying the public leans left?

This may be because the movement, whether it wants it that way or not, is predominantly about people wanting something. I think the tea party had more to do with people who wanted to be left alone.

there are always more who would want a handout.

Not saying that is the whole movement, but the lowest common denominators always outnumber the rest.

I'd say judging by what Kokesh has been investigating, that many of them just lean "stupid".

Most people really don't care what the OWS crowd has to say.

Not surprising, since the lying, leftist, in-the-tank-for-Obama media did all it could to paint the Tea Party in the worst light, (calling them violent, racist, extremist, terrorists, etc. while lauding OWS, which is filled with violent rhetoric and antisemitism.

Plenty of varying results, it seems:

PRINCETON, NJ -- Less than half of Americans express an opinion about either the Occupy Wall Street movement's goals or the way it has conducted its protests. Those with an opinion are more likely to approve than disapprove.
But if you simply do not report those who have no opinion, then presto!, you have strong support!

I guess this means that the majority of the public favor theft, rape, public exhibitionism in front of children, defecating in public, and leaving all sorts of trash and filth on public property.

What say you, Wee Wee? Is this the second coming of the French Revolution?
