    I can understand the reason for teaching the body to use adipose tissue for energy particularly for those that need to lose it, however for those without much, such as yourself, is it necessary? You need around 4% body fat to stay healthy, anything less and the body starts to loses the ability to function properly. Normal function doesn't use adipose tissue though, uses ATP which comes from sugars. excess sugars are turned into fat.
