If racial discrimination is alive at Time, it is the only thing.

Reporters continue to believe, even in the face of evidence to the contrary, that they alone have the perspective, insight, and even knowledge that the rest of us lack. I know they go home from work believing in their heart that we are waiting eagerly for them to tell us what is true.

They are wrong.

Maybe that's how the Time writer feels about "a new black friend" and just projects it on the the rest of the world. That statement says more about that writer than about the GOP.
