I wasn't buying the energy-saving new light bulbs because of the price. Now I have a better reason.

I didn't know they used mercury. That can't be good-mercury is safe contained in a thermometer, but not in anything that will heat it beyond it's limits.

I'm trying to figure out what bulbs to buy when they outlaw our tungsten ones.

The difference between pigs and people is that when they tell you you're cured it isn't a good thing.

They use less electricity and put off less heat.

The downside is that if you break one, you need a hazmat team!

LED lights are dropping in price, they should be safer.

My next lights will be LED. I did have one of these CFL bulbs break and I didn't know about the mercury. I cleaned it up like a normal bulb. I hope I don't die as a result!
