#1 Radio station gives away fifty turkeys11-21-2011, 05:17 PMCLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) - With Thanksgiving around the corner people are starting to prepare for the holiday feast.
Radio station, Jack FM helped out folks with the most important piece Saturday, the turkey.
The station started the coalition to save Thanksgiving because they felt that everyone was in a rush to get into the Christmas spirit and were forgetting about Thanksgiving. ...
Hope the delivery method worked.

"Turkeys are hitting the ground like sacks of wet cement!"
Best. Episode. Ever."Today, [the American voter] chooses his rulers as he buys bootleg whiskey, never knowing precisely what he is getting, only certain that it is not what it pretends to be." - H.L. Mencken

John DeBella of 102.9 WMGK has been doing this for years going back to his Morning Zoo days on WMMR in the 80's and 90's. His inspiration to do so is attributed to the above WKRP episode. Of course these days he takes donations and gives to the needy. He's a really good guy at heart. http://www.wmgk.com/news/story.aspx?id=1564865Deplorably Proud To Be An American

That (WKRP-Turkeys Away) is probably the funniest thing I've ever seen on television. At least, it's tied with Belushi as a samurai.
