#1 A new smoker for turkey day
11-23-2011, 10:08 AM
My old gas smoker, a trusty, but now rusty Brinkmann has been replaced this year by this new Landman gas smoker...
I cringed when I opened the box and saw "Made In China" on it, knowing that assembly would be sheer hell. It wasn't too bad, only one part needed to have the Dremel taken to it, and my wife said there was a minimal amount of cursing compared to when I usually assemble something from China.
Breaking it in with a 60 minute smoke this afternoon, it gets its first turkey tomorrow.
Looking forward to using this one.

smoked turkey is delish....
but nothing beats a good deep fried Cajun Turkey IMO.
I've been considering buying a Big green egg cooker for a while now after hearing how much old gator praised it.
I'm having a big steak for tomorrow. Then Turkey at motherinlaws Friday.Gun Control: The theory that a woman found dead in an alley, raped and strangled with her panty hose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker got that fatal bullet wound - Unknown
