Navy SEAL (and fellow Texan) author of "Lone Survivor"
endorses Rick Perry in a great new ad:

I like Marcus real well, the only problem is that it would take nothing short of a miracle to get Perry's campaign going again!A trojan horse hides its intent and Obama hasnít we hid our understanding.

Yeah, but you just never know.
I do love the Thanksgiving message of the ad though.
We are so blessed as a country and have much to be thankful for.
In particular that we have the best all volunteer military in the world.

Before you can do things for people, you must be the kind of man who can get things done. But to get things done, you must love the doing, not the people!

of their own lives to keep the bad guys from blowing our country's shit up.
Mostly right now though, I'm thankful for Rockntractor taking out the trash today.
Glad somebody finally chucked that smelly old shoe out so we don't have to trip
over it anymore.

No, I'm not thankful for this country's ability to blow shit up. Well, that's not entirely accurate; I am thankful that we have that capacity, but that's not what Kay or I (in particular; I'm sure there are many other patriots here who feel as we do) are thankful for. We're thankful for the men and women who have been willing to die face-down in the mud to protect our liberties (and have done so; millions since 1776). I'm personally thankful for men like TRG and Odysseus who, upon hearing the call of duty, will put their lives on the line to protect me, someone they don't even know. They'll even put their lives on the line to protect some asshat like you who has absolutely no appreciation for what they do. And these fine men and women don't even ask for so much as our thanks in return for their offer of the ultimate sacrifice.
This is a debt that I am literally incapable of repaying. You, as well, are incapable of repaying this debt that we owe to those who would lay their lives on the line to protect us. Now would be a really good time for you to STFU and say nothing other than "thank you" and/or "can I buy you a beer?" to those fine people who have offered up so much, who sacrifice so much on a daily basis (if you think that military life, even for an officer, is all sorts of cushy, you've got another thing coming), just to preserve the freedom of you and me; you to say idiotic shit on the internet and me to do things like pray to God for their safety and Salvation and disagree with imbeciles like you and vote against your idiotic policies that you love so much.
So let this be a lesson to you in how to do it the right way, shit-for-brains:
Today, even more than every other day, I am thankful for those who would lay down their lives to protect me, my family, and our American way of life. It's a debt that I can never re-pay, but I hope that my thanks can at least let you know how much I appreciate what you do for me on a daily basis.
My best civvie salute:Olde-style, states' rights conservative. Ask if this concept confuses you.

Stinky deserves to be deported to China or North Korea, he's earned it.Education without values, as useful as it is, seems rather to make man a more clever devil.

Do not ever say that the desire to "do good" by force is a good motive. Neither power-lust nor stupidity are good motives. (Are you listening Barry)?
